It is possible that this is marketing genius from Quantya, I'm not sure the place that makes them in Santa Cruz CA can meet these specs after being used for a while, I would need to dig up that information. I went to a '24 hours' event they put on. * Range - on one charge under competitive conditions: minimum 15 Km. * Charging time: maximum 2 hours.
I'd really like to see a head to head comparison between the Quantya, Zero, and the new KTM. I have a feeling that new KTM might just stomp the other two.
One thing I noticed, you never see those guy pulling a high speed wheelie? I don't think I have ever seen any of the electric bikes doing wheelies other than catching air off something. The Quantya motor spec says 8.5KWH which is about 11.5HP! Give me a electric or electric hybrid with 34HP or 25KWH and maybe I would get a little more exited.
