All 2st Emptying the Bowl

    2000 WR 250
    Running the last bit of fuel out of the carb bowl and the bike starts reving to hell and back
    ! Almost like fuel was leaking by the petcock valve...Any other possible culprets?

    I've always emptied my bowl this way but it's never reved to 13,000 rpms! I had to drop it into 1st, hold the back brake and dump the cluth so it didn't blow up. Afterwards, i started the bike up with no trouble but I did not attempt to empty the bowl for fear of engine failure.
