View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aElUyg9e_rA The camera stopped about 30 minutes before we removed the valve cover I think, so far the casualties are one coil (connector housing hit the frame when unplugging it from the spark plug and it cracked) and the mud guard (forgot to unplug the bottom rivets when removing the subframe so it ripped) I ordered a bunch of parts and the ECU is at the dealer for the recall (this way I can do the first startup myself so I'm sure it will be done correctly) I also have a couple of videos from when I went to Mount Washington on there if you want to watch Enjoy!
you don't need to take the rear frame and all the plastic and rack off. Just the cans and the top bolts of the rear frame, then loosen the bottom bolts a bit to tilt the rear frame back. Gives you just enough room to wiggle the airbox out.
You're probably right, some extra room would be nice. Jeez I wish my valve adjustment only took that log....
Another day, another video! View: https://youtu.be/ndl8kS7AioY I'm still waiting on some parts (some I would have liked to have before closing the engine like the timing chain guide and tensioner, but I guess I'll change them along with the chain in two years when I do this whole process again) and my ECU, the dealer is far enough that I'll wait until I can go get everything that's missing and from what they told me that might mean waiting another 2 or 3 weeks, so don't expect more progress for a little while! In the meantime here's a picture of the beast as I left it earlier! https://photos.app.goo.gl/icu2c2H0tx8W6lrj2 Damn the Terra fender fits way better with the fairing around the light! Edit: If you're wondering, my friend was trying to solve a no charge issue with his truck, ended up being a fuse link (big wire from the battery that's also used as a fuse) that was completely worn out!
