What combination do we have here? Looks like MK cases and 400 cylinder with a ML radial head. Is the stud pattern close enough to easily do this? MK and ML.jpg

It certainly looks like it if it is bolted in place. Someone would have had to slot the bolt holes and spotfaces to pull it off if they were not a close match. Or have the assistance of a top notch tig weldor. The head would likely be from a GP 360.

Interesting. It looks like the base gasket is the same on the 400 from 1969-75. So maybe a 1975 400 top end or head on an earlier engine?

The 1975 400 had the big case 5 speed engine so that is the stock cylinder on that engine. The radial head likely came off a 360GP engine

That's right, the 75 and 76 360CR and WR will bolt right on the 69 through 75 400 cylinder. When using the 360 head for this application the two 8mm bolts are not used just the four 10mm.

The cylinder looks like a 250. It has only 9 fins instead of 10 not to mention the large amount of space between the top of the head and the pipe. The clutch cover is no doubt off a 400.
