Hi Guys Just to show my engine guard I made today .. took almost the whole day to cut weld and fit it .. hop the pictures will be good ... tell me what you think Asi
It looks good, but I wild have come up a bit more on the side to protect the oil sump and filter area.
Yep .. and its giving me something to practice my Aluminium welding Im thinking to build rear rack from Aluminium as well what do you think ? or to do it from stainless steel ...
I have the UNIMIG AC/DC 200 , thinking to do the racks from aluminium to keep the weight down and its still strong but maybe I'm wrong
Good job, think about some holes to help water and mud escape and as importantly to fascilitate engine noise bounce back.
Thanks ghte! I notice the moment I fired her up about the noise difference , Im gonna make some holes in the future..
Stuff some free-flowing foam in there (like anti-slosh fuel tank foam) between the plate (which looks very good) and the engine, it will let water run through but won't let trash and crap build up as badly, and will help mute the noise. You might consider building a bolt-on "wing" for the right side to help protect the oil pump and oil filter cap.
