the crush washer(think that's what you call it) that stops the steel pipe flange from hitting the ally exhaust manifold & wearing out the manifold is cracked/rooted from wear. its an ally washer basically so theoretically I could replace with any ally washer even if its a bit thicker & wider(within reason obviously) provided the OD is similar & the ID doesn't encroach on the exhaust opening right? just a PITA to order a new one for such a poxy little part & im sure they'll charge something stupid like $15 for it!

I always lose mine and have a hard time finding them. I just run a bead of hi temp silicone around the flange, seems to help anyway.

I've had a couple cr 125's one with 200+ hrs and the other is around 150, no cracks/signs of wear.

Second hi temp silicone, just use the red stuff youve got and clean all the gunk properly before you apply it wait till it cures and throw the exhaust on.. I told you when i was there shawbagga or are my opinions usless? Lol

totally useless after our clutch adjusting session haha!!;) yeh I just like to have the correct gear where possible that's all. I told you juicy im a little OCD:p gotta go into town tomorrow so ill see what the shops have otherwise ill do yours & aviduser dodgy brothers gasket fabrication idea.
BTW juicy I picked up my new ute yday-flash:thumbsup::banana: still not as good as a new bike though(not enough shit to fiddle with/armour to add/bling to personalize it) but still cool. don't wanna get it dirty but ill christen her with bikes on the back on thur/fri & sun. rain forecast so those sandy single trails you liked so much should be primo! last week of 'holidays' so cramming in some riding!

Yeah they are hard to find most bike shops look at you with a blank face..but if you go to a kart racing engine builder they may have some in stock especially the guys that run 125 or 250GP karts.

If you get some verniers and measure the id and od of the port, again with luck, some auto exhaust shops may carry the crush washers.. l got mine from such joints and a bit of trial an error as if the washer is too thick you won't get the oring to seat and seal, don't worry if the OD is slightly larger than the exhaust port, have dremel and size it to suit.

If all else fails, and like 99% of us, replace the orings and red hitemp silicone because these f@#$ing crush washers are a c@#t to find:D

And fairly usless, good effort on the ute you do need to get it mucky double quick!
My clutch adjusting session as others have stated may need a vice just to crack off the initial locked nut man that was abnormally tight.

    Id 45mm
    Od 53mm
    1mm thick
Not sure of material but it does make a pretty tinkling sound when dropped on cement floor, then roll under the bench into a pile of dust and accumulated dropped down the back of the bench crap..
Ah that's where the 10 mm socket got to, sweet!!

It is always an alloy or copper so it is soft enough to crush and seal the gaps, so SS might not work. Copper is the best I think, Aluminium might work also if you can make one.
I also find the high temp sealant works best if left to cure for a long period i.e. >24-48 hours

Yeh should do it but make sure its flipping soft. Then when its all inplace slap atv silicone around the joint and leave it too cure, you will be amazed at how much noise is cut down by a correctly sealed exhaust.

I'm surprised they didn't show you the wildlife warning on the plane before landing. Maybe not all airlines show it... Dunno.

I could only find a much older warning, not the latest one.
