Ok got the switch on the handle bars 1 and 2. Under the seat or air box got a dial with numerous selections or numbers. What's everyone running for the most performance. Currently running 2 on handle bar and 3 on the dial. 2015 fc 450. Tried different positions and really couldn't tell a difference

I believe there are only 3 optional positions for the map switch input plug from under the seat, whether you have a 2 or 3 position switch on the bars or not. Even with the under seat dial.

Its either Medium, Mild, or Wild.

The other many numbered (9 altogether I think) positions do nothing on the under the seat dial.

It only affects the ECUs timing curve.

It doesn't change the fuel mapping itself.

At least that's the effect on my FE501 with the "Euro Map" installed by the dealer.

That's right. There are only 3 ignition maps in the ecu, like Timmy said.
Don't know for sure if the FC is any different but I guess not.
Only the switch on the bars makes any difference.

Try calling ZipTy on the FC450 mapping questions. I spoke with Ty way back when they first starting testing them and he seemed to have a good bead on the settings. If my memory serves me right, the new OEM bar switch has 2 positions. one has a single dot and the other has 2 dots. My guess is the single is stock(wild on the FC) and the 2nd will give a milder low end for loose conditions but will then rev out once it hits 4000 rpms or so. But like I said, if my memory serves me correct...;)
You should be able to tell a difference by doing a 2nd or 3rd gear roll on. One should bog a bit before it's off to the races.
