I can save thousands on a leftover 2015 FC350 and have money left over for suspensions guards etc...or just buck up for the 2016.

I ride `woods of the Pacific Northwest and race hare scrambles in senior expert class where I am able to finish on my FE 501.

My 501 is a little heavy and I am looking for a lighter bike.

The 2015 sounds like it is a little abrupt in the power dept. Is it? What mods to smooth it out?

    Thanks

On paper there's not much different between the years so get the 2015. Both will need suspension work if you race/ride at higher speeds. Tuning is available at your dealer or the several custom tuners online/local to help smooth out the power.

If you want the latest and greatest get the 2016 FC350.

Aren't the 2016 models the same a factory edition 2015?? Lighter weight, some motor internals but otherwise not ground breaking especially based on reviews. Save your money and get the 2015 with suspension corrected for you and your riding.

Research a KTM 350SX, it's 30lbs lighter than your 501 with the same hp on top.

I ended up with a 2015 FC 350. I hooked up a fan to the battery with a switch. There are no other electrical accessories. Will the stator keep up or will it draw off of the battery?

Got out for a ride today. This bike feels way lighter than my 501 but also way stiffer with way less torque. But I think I can live with it for now. It didn't hardly stall at all.

I will prolly throw a 13 tooth on the front.

I didn't particularly like the 19" rear. I might have been the had rubber compound but I aired it down and then got a flat.

Is anyone else running running a 19" tire off road? If so what kind of tire?
