Anyone on here squeeze a little more power out of the FE250? Was the exhaust worth the $$? Don't need a lot more for the conditions I ride in but 3-4 more HP all the way through would be outstanding!!

Big bore kit, all the way. Nothing beats displacement.

I will never go that route again. Done a couple and they ruined the running quality. I am looking for comments specifically regarding exhaust, mapping, higher comp piston, tps, etc.

Yes the FMF Mega Bomb system works nicely. Stock the boy had trouble lifting the front in the woods, after the exhaust lifts it at will. TPS at .64 and stock map. Dealer can add full race map if needed for a top level racer for even more power.

Full exhaust, head porting and new mapping to match. Should be pretty close to an FC250 at that point.

He has one small burn on his pants since they are over the boot type. Also he doesn't stand like he should so this adds to it. My son had one on his CRF150r and there was very little issue in 50hrs. racing with it. There are companies that offer a cover to protect pants if desired.

Tinkin - If you port the head would you need different cams??

No, we use the oem cams. We port the head and swirl the valves.

Thanks guys. I ordered the FMF 4.1 silencer with the Megabomb and the Eline guard. Akro can is ginormous! I got a deal on the FMF otherwise I would have gone with PC..

The more I ride my 250 the more it blows my mind. Want more power, turn the loud handle and use momentum. Love mine stock and I ride with some hard core beasts here in the East. Only mod was suspension tune by a local hero.

Nice post. I am at my ideal weight. Anyone that says "lose weight", doesn't understand the effect of weight that is part of the machine vs. weight carried on the body.......There is a big difference.

Next time why don't you try to be a part of the solution instead of part of the problem.

For us the kid doesn't ride aggressive enough to keep in the power so adding an exhaust gave the need low end power to help confidence. If it was my bike I still would want the exhaust since it made a good bike much better. All my bikes have stock exhaust but always had more torque/HP to start with.
