    Hi there

Just got my new toy and rode around a village, not too much to say yet, but few things are clear already

    [IMG]IMG_7013 by -goshagoshin-

    Thumbs up:
    Engine is sweet
Turning faster and easier than tou expect
    Foldable stock levers
    Handy one-piece side plastic panels
    Map swith mild/wild ( i did not notice anything yet :) )
Power valve springs (on 2016 my there was no options to change them)
    Front suspention is beautiful
Rear suspention- i do not understand yet, need to try all kinds of terrains. Stock was too soft
    Clutch is nice and easy

    Thumbs down:
Brakes. Magura made Husky braking like Suzuki. No brakes
Carb. Initail jetting could not maintain idle at all (sea level, +17 C) .Idle works well only with a jet for lower temperatures, with the stock IJ bike coughs for 5 secs then shuts down
Airbox boot is made of much more rigid plastic than earlier. To take carb out is PIA, i said all swaer words i knew while i was taking it out
New tank' entrance is so shallow that it's not possible to fill in with quick-fill canister with a valve

    Keep observing :)
    After TE300 it's a funny toy

Very nice....yes the brake thing has me baffled...another marketing ploy from ktm....husky is supposed to be the premium brand...hence the 100$ more...so why not give the ktm s magura??? And the world class brembo to husky? But nice bike!

Folks who's got Magura brakes '18 - is it getting any better with breaking-in?
My bike has just 2 hours on a clock, i do hope it's to early to judge. So far brakes are just ashame of husqvarna, way below standards :(

The rears feel like my brembo with ebc sm pads....the fronts are well yamaha like....all fingers and lots of pressure...they are ok..but for a faster guy not that great..

Do you know if the front mounting holes are the same between the brembos and maguras? Would it be possible to mount up brembos off a KTM?

Don't quote me and possibly someone else can chime in. But from my understanding the maguras are copy cat brembo s and even take the same part number brake pads...im thinking even if the mount bracket was different the one from the motocross bike would probably work...in the USA at least the first batch of m oto bikes has brembo s. No one can seem to give and answer to what's happening down the road...ive heard every th ing from the next batch of m oto bikes will have magura to they are all going back to brembo. I'm satisfied with the rear...(although I have not.pushed super hard to check boil over point) but the front seems like to much effort when trying to ride fast...i would think the.17 stuff would bolt right on the 18 stuff....but I suppose you would have to change the master cylinder? As well?

Can you ID the bore of the master cylinder?

I've been sticking oem Brembo masters on my Jap bikes lately and the brakes work so much better compared to the Nissin masters.

Just checked the rears and the magura caliper will drop straight onto the brembo brake hanger and vice versa. Not sure about pads as I only have the brake hangers and calipers here but it looks like you are right in that the maguras are practically a copy of the brembos.

. I am told the brake pads are same part number for magura or brembo....I'm also told second batch of motocross bikes have arrived with brembos not magura so I still have no idea what the deal is...

Interesting.... I've never heard this....and I think nissin brakes suck in general...slight step below magura....which is a step below brembo in my book...

I've been told all mxers will come with Brembos and TX and TE lines with the magura.

I thought the same thing. I absolutely hate the nissin brakes on my Beta. The rears are actually comically bad. Every time I switch bikes with someone I'll see them look down at the brakes multiple times to check that they are actually there.

I’m goofy I like the nissin because it’s easier to drag and not skid

Not goofy at all. We all like our bikes setup a little differently.
