Okay trying to fine tune my bike has been irritating to say the least. Main jet is 185 or 180 cant remember it has been so long since i changed it. Red needle in the fourth position, with a 40 pilot jet. Bike runs great not awsome. I have done the check to see if the pilot jet is correct and it seems to be correct. However when I move needle to the 5th and it seems to rich. Moved it back to the fourth and it seems to be just a hair to lean just off idle. If i turn the fuel screw out just a hair the performance doesn't change but the decel pop gets worse. Oh and I have no oring mod (need to get another one because the other dry cracked.

My question is will moving up to a 42 pilot jet cure the off idle leanness or am I just chasing my tail. from all the diagrams it appears it will affect the area that i need it to. Will doing the o ring mod change the lowend leaness by squirting just a tad more as opposed to upping the pilot jet.

Do your self a favor and forget the O ring mod
and instead get the merge racing A/P spring
and be done with it, you will never have to replace a
O ring again. I would try the 42 pilot or shim up the
needle with a 005 shim it will put the needle in between
    the 4 and 5 clip
