    What was the first year for the 400 liquid cooled husky? And how long did they have the 400?

    1984 saw the first 400WR L/C as a twin shock. The WRX was released mid 1985 on a limited availability to test the reception of a single shock WR. For USA availability, the 400 was superceded by the 430 LC in 1987. I believe the 400 was still sold in other markets with perhaps limited avalibility in USA

    In 1984 you had a choice of the proven aircooled 400 WR with the best engine they had ever built and the best frame/suspension or the new water cooled engine in the same package.
    So two bikes in one year.
    The air cooled one being the last of it's line.:cry: and the LC being the first.
    Friend of mine has the LC and it's very nice and a bit rare.

    If the 400 ac 81/83 doesn't exist, make it !

    A 1980 390 cylinder can bolt down on a 430 crankcase and that would make an air cooled 400 six speed with primary kick. Something that was never made by Husqvarna anyway
