Hey every-one,I just got back from 3 days of riding my wr144 and got to really test the tires and carb out. First the tires. All I can say is I won't be buying any-thing else! I used to be a die-hard Michelin s-12 rear,m-12 front guy but I am a believer in the motoz! I rode sand, mud, rocks, roots, hard and soft dirt and even snow on my trip and they work great.Very predictable in corners and great traction every-where. I am surprised they are not more popular with other riders. Now for the carb. I rode at 3000 ft. above sea level down to 800 ft. above sea level in temps. varying from 0 degrees to 22 degrees celsius and all I had to do was adjust the idle speed a little. After finding the sweet spot with the power-jet and rod it ran liked a raped ape! Very smooth and responsive with no spooge and more power every-where including on top compared to the stock 38mm tmxx mikuni. It took a fair amount of adjusting to get it just right, but it is easy to do and worth it! I don't know where my setting on the rod is at but I am at around 2.5 turns out on the power-jet and it rips! Thanks again to every-one for their comments and suggestions:cheers:

Glad you finally got out. Good stuff, thanks for the report.

Tires are very subjective. People love what they love, its all good. Glad you found something that works for you. As for the carb, This seems to echo everyones findings. Its fun when something really brings a better ride experience to the table.

Did you notice any improvement in your fuel mileage? I've been working so much I have hav'nt been able to ride for more than an hour or so, if that, on sunday afternoons. Hard to judge it that way.
