Then might do some DSing on 82 http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=234680 http://www.highlandparkresort.com/ Looks like some easy single track. and how about these mountain roads. http://goo.gl/maps/ErzaG
Met my buddy Mark in Durantown on Jan 1st. Getting ready to ride. ( new addition to Mark's stable, a new Aprilia RSV 450)
Second day, first and second incident. Mark hits a tree doing some single track and dislocates his finger. here's the tree. (a little left of my rear fender) Second issue, ( slight compaired to #3)bruse from kicking the Kaw, it's not like the Huskies.
Mark was a trooper, he rode the next two days with a splint on . Finished breaking in the Aprilia. Then we headed to Greenville for a break, and I stayed in Atlanta over night on the way to Highland Park Ga. A little midnight snack. Arrived in Highland park on Monday the 7th, Checked in , got a cabin. Looked like the nices weather so far on the trip.
On the first lap, just warming up, nothing crazy or at a race pace and cruised over this on hump, came down and whiskey throttled. lost control and hit hard. Shattered my left Radius ( forearm at wrist ) and broke right Humerus (shoulder) looks like i'm out till late spring..... Surgery on left arm tomorrow, still up in the air about the right shoulder.

work hard...Play HARDER...sometimes comes at a price Last boys trip I took to Whistler to do some DH'ing on mt bikes resulted in a buddy shattering femur and dislocating shoulder...S&$% happens. There is no good without "bad" and we are putting labels on things here when in reality it is all just an experience Speedy recovery..great pics
Bummer, Good luck with the recovery and remember you have had 3 outs already so its clear sailing now.
wow that brings back some bad memories over the bars at Hungry Valley on a single track had to ride back to camp, the guys got me feeling well,,,, painless, while they broke camp heal up soon
For the first week of the trip it was good. I was only about 3 minutes into the ride when it happened .
Ok, broken radius, shoulder bad and arm worse. BUT, is the bike okay? Well I guess that'll teach ya... them thar moto sickles are dangerous! When you get home you'll have to tell everyone your injuries were from fighting of a mob of flesh eating zombies while helping a bus full of nuns escape from their burning vehicle after just returning from assisting a cute puppy dog get out of a storm drain. Have a good recovery!
