250-500cc fmf exhaust question

Hi all im a new husky wr250 owner its my first real bike.My question is exhaust silencers are hard to finf here in oz for my 99 model..will a fmf model specific made for the 2000 wr250 fit onto my 99 wr or is there a major design difference or something in the 2 husqvarna year models as to why it wont fit or cant be done? Any help would be appreciated.cheers

if you look in the Husqvarna parts Fiche and you find the same number then no big deal
