    having a senior moment, I placed the washers in the base of the sliders in with the dome facing down and the flat bit facing up....can anyone confirm this is correct?

    Dome down is correct.
    It's the same for most Husky forks.

    I would have asked the same question when I first took a set of forks down and everything fell out . Had no idea which end was up back then.

    I ran mine upside down for a while till I read something on here.
    Did you know that you can pull the fork sliders off and flip them over without taking the forks off the bike :thumbsup:

    That's how I change my fork seals in about 20 minutes !

    as long as your bike stand lets you... milk crates don't cut it:(
