I have been unable to locate a service manual for my WR (1996 250). The fork seals are starting to leak and need replacing. I have assumed the forks are conventional cartridge type and not dual chamber type. Could someone please confirm if my assumption is correct? Also any info specific to the Husky forks would be greatly appreciated. I obtained from another thread the tip to view the Rocky Mountain Vids http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/videos.do and that was a great help.

    Cheers

If they are 43mm Showa USD's then they are standard cartridge forks - good tip is to loosen the bottom triple clamp bolts and then loosen the fork caps then the top triple clamp bolts...PITA trying to loosen them off when off the bike.

I don't think any Husky's came out with dual chamber forks??

I have a 1996 WXC 250 and it has 45mm Marzocchi's (not USD). One side controls dampening and the other side rebound. I have a fork manual I can try to upload for you if you really get in a bind.

My seals started leaking on my 1996 WXC 250 over the weekend and have never done any kind of fork work. Chris would you mind uploading the manual? Where could I find some new seals and what kind of oil should I use?

    Thanks!

They would be 45 mm Marzocchi Magnum's.
Magnum's were used on the Husky range from 1996 - 1998.
    1999 -2009 use Marzocchi Shivers.
    2010 + run KYB's.
KTM also ran the Magnums as well for a little while, I'm not sure on the years though.

I have a dealer trying to sell me a seal set for $65 part #800097749. Seems high to me. I'm seeing other sets on line for under $20. Anyone with advise on buying seals? Would I be getting more than just seals for the $65...happy ending maybe?
