    Hi folks,
I'm having a problem with my 73 WR250 forks topping out. They have been completely disassembled, cleaned out, and have new seals and oil. Even just lifting the front end off the ground, when I'm standing next to it, will cause a loud hideous metal to metal sound.
    Any help is appreciated. Thanks
You will be able to see the bike in the restoration section of the site soon.

How much oil and what weight would you recommend for my 73 WR250?

hard to say....you can look in the tech section and get the factory spec,s...rider weight, style ect... all come in play here.
back in the day, i got a bottle of fork oil, poured half in one and half in the other..and it worked well.
what some guys do..is take the caps off, and compress the forks down all the way, and fill 3 to 4 inches from the top..
