looks like a nice way for someone to get introduced to the real husqvarna! bike looks pretty decent and mostly complete. i really like the 85-88 single shocks. good bikes.

I would be super jealous of you if you get that bike! I wish guys would sell their bikes for that cheap around here. Everyone always wants a grand and a bit for their old beat up huskies.
I would love to start a rideable collection of 85-86 huskies, I've already started with an 86 430 auto

the opportunities are there in other peoples areas, the grass is greener syndrome
there is a fix, move, no just kidding
i bought my 87 CR250 in near perfect stock condition, the tires were original and had a ton of tread
i took it apart and mailed it to myself, if someone is willing to do this for someone else, how about when you go to their area they can ride one of your toys
there is some give and take to get what you want, but the best part is you get to meet cool obsessive compulsive people just like you

theres always tons of huskies for sale around me. sometimes at very good prices. lots of 87-88 bikes for some reason. buddy bought an 87 xc430 for 700 dollars. very solid bike, nice plastic, and barely rode. needed another 500 put in it to be set. for some reason oh and pa have lots of huskies...

I've only seen 3 1/2 86 bikes around me. One 430, one 400, one 240 and a parts bike for the 240. All of them wanting 1000-1200 for bikes that need a lot of work and money put into them to be good working bikes again.

just have to take good care of what you have...im sure part of that is your area tho

I take real good care of my bikes and they always look good. Would just love to get another vintage husky to go with my auto.

thats funny you say that, i have alot of parts that were supposed to be old eddie lojak parts, and a bunch of plastic that says lojak racing. theres still a lot of swedes lurking around here. i bought one of the smaller local dealers out here when i was a senior in high school. thinking back i should have been saving for something else..
