I do not see the shift shaft, if it isn't included I wouldn't buy it because it was changed and I do not believe the new ones fit that shift star.

I've only got approx 14 hours on mine and I think I've been in 5th gear maybe twice. I guess it all depends on where you ride but I'm seriously thinking about lowering the gearing some.
Bottom line is THIS BIKE F'n RIPPS. Beta ? Why? I know you race and me... I'm just a weekend warrior but c'mon K5PL5, I know you love your Husky and just remember the grass isn't always
    greener..........you get the point. :D

I'm a 6sped guy and can see buying one someday for both a 010TC250 and my 08WR250... But not a true wide-ratio ...On the trails, probably too big of spaces between gears and you would be forced to carry alot of speed always, and the next shift up means more speed on top of your already fast lower gear ..

My 08 WR250 is AOK with a 5speed. That bike blows me away every time I ride it ... I think I'd purchase a hydo-clutch before the 6spd if they were both laying in front of me... I just can't the clutch on the WR to feather as smooth as the hydro clutches on the TCs ...

I'm looking at doiing this to my 09 but I cant find the post about which years are compatible,
Atm my stock 5 speed runs 13/46 (I think, not looking at it right now) and im a little worried that after the conversion I might find it hard to manage on the slower/tighter stuff I ride given im still on the standard clutch setup & carb n everything else

My main want is for when I get a good set of rims/rubbers for motard, and well, having an extra gear holy :censored: !
Anyone want to share on their sprocket sizes before/after the swap?

dont think anyone would be interested but i have a 6 speed trans out of my 91 wxe 260. It has two gears that are missing a tooth but dont know if they are interchangable with others. I just have the trans though and no drum or shift shaft

You do need the shift shaft too. Seems pretty spendy for a 20 year old tranny that doesn't have everything you need. You can use any 6 speed from 92-98 250's and 92-02 360's. The 91's have slightly different ratios but should work well too. There is one year where they put a 5 speed in the MX bikes both 360 and 250, I believe it was 93 so be careful what bottom end you buy if you want to buy one to part out for the tranny.

I looked at all the ratios at one point, and first gear isn't any taller with the wide ratio, just has slightly bigger gaps so overall you get a nice tall top gear. Should still be fine in the tight stuff.
