Any Imput Is Appreciated. Just wondering if anyone has suggestions on a good frame paint to use this winter. I had my bike frame blasted and powder coated (Looked Great)but now the paint is chipping off. Seems like every time I have something powder coated, the paint chips off. Has anyone tried using automotive basecoat/clear cloat? Acrylic Enamel? Imron? With great success? Thanx! Darin
I had my frames painted with Imron paint at a body shop. Paint has a wet look to it. Easy to clean. Paint still rubs off on bottom of frame and where boots rub against it.
I know the feeling but these, I think are way better than powder coating. It seems to take the flex out of the frames and chips just looking at it. I almost went Imron. I think alot of these paints are harder now that they have taken stuff out of them.
