    Hello all,

I'm hoping one of you may be able to help me figure out the year frame that I have. I purchased what I was told was a 1981 430WR. The engine code matches (2087), but the frame is stamped WN 08XXX. The information I have been able to find online indicates I should expect to see WN-1001XX.

I can't find any frames, regardless of year, that have the designation WN 08XXX.

    Any thoughts out there?

    Thanks,
    Jeff

Thanks ruwfo. So, as I understand it, it's 1981 frame and the 8000th something one built. Good to know.

    John,
JeffC was asking about a 1981 frame...
I guess his qustion is right. I have had same problem with a 1981 430 WR with frame starting WN 08XXX and still today I dont know what kind of numbers those are...

You have the correct frame for 1981 as the list you were referred to states WN to 1001

    Thanks Jim.

For future reference to anybody wondering, this is how it works (as I understand it).

Beginning in 1981 the frame designation would start at WN-1001 and end at the 1982 designation of WN-11000. So it would be possible to have a 1981 frame beginning with WN and having a stamped number between 1001-10999.

That is the standard designation that Husqvarna used on the milk truck frames, not a VIN or model number. I have one frame with Husqvarna 1 on the left of the steering stem and the VIN on the right. Maybe reversed? I have not looked at them for a while
