One of the longest serving (off and on)Husky riders, Fast Freddy was back on a Husky for the first time in over six years for the Noble Woods National Enduro in Maine. Riding a stock 2010 TXC250 Demo bike from Town and Country Cycles in NJ, he finished 11th in the Pro Class, beating Factory Husky rider Glenn Kearney by one position. Fred had been Husky's last Factory rider in the US, but that Team ceased in '04. He then rode Gas Gas, Husaberg ('07 Dixie Distributing handled Gas Gas and Husaberg) and the Kawasaki. Nice to see Fred back on a Husky and I hope Husky US gives him some support!
definetly had a pipe on it,but looked very close to stock, glenns bike was sick,no bog, very crisp like a carb! oh ya he was damn fast also
It definitely had a pipe.... Glen's bike has some Zip Ty engine mods and Dyno Jet engine management system according to a mag article I recently read.
fred is running an HGS pipe,we talked to glenn as we were on his line,he told me the power commander was the single best thing they did to his bike to eliminate any hesitation or bogging,it sounded so crisp
Fred got 11th O/A and Glen 12th O/A........7th and 8th in AA rspectiveley. There were some local 4 AA "ringers" in betwen them that got 7th to 10th O/A. both were flying. Maybe Cafe Husky gang should sponsor Fred?......(If everyone gave a dollar....hmnnn?)
I'd toss a little on that pile for Fred but he has to go back to the open face helmet so i can pick him out Good stuff Norm.
STILL ONE OF MY NE FAVES!!Great to see the "old" guy back on a Husky. One of my fave all time pics is Fred in his biz suit riding a wheelie on his husky (anyone have that one?). Nice shot, Fred is roosting the minute 30 guy. thanks for the post/news.
Freds bike is our shop demo! it had about 8 hrs on it.has a jardine pipe (which i never got to try)revaled forks that were shortened ,and updated map. everything else is stock! eric
Fred's a great guy, one the best enduro riders this country has ever produced. I riden many enduros where I knewe he would be coming by as soon as I dropped as many points as row's he was behind me! The guy was wild to see when he was on a WXE 125!
Eric, Please let Fred bring it to Cortland this weekend for the North East Husky Gathering and AMA Eastern Hare Scrambles. Norman
The short story.... He was invited, but got stranded out west waiting for truck repairs and couldn't get a flight to attend.
