Any advise on adjusting the front brake dual leading shoe for my 1983 WR 250? I remember reading somewhere on this site that there is an old thread that describes what to do/how to adjust for optimal performance.

    Hey,
Husky drum brakes were always only, just ok, but to get the best out of what you've got, everything has to be real clean.
Buying grooved shoes (EBC?) helps too, but cleaning & re-greasing all the pivot points, having a non rusted & clean
lining surface is a must. Also the cable should be cleaned & lubed well to and zip tied to the lower fork leg, as a min.
The cable can pull part out of the sheath too, near the lower fork leg, so i also way safety wire it to the brake arm.
Then it's all up to how you like the brake to feel, with the cable adjustment.

Then want ever you do, don't ride a modern bike, cause you'll see what real brakes are.
