I saw that another member did this to their front fender, and I thought it was a good idea since it gets to be 110* F here in the summer. It was pretty straight forward to remove the fender. There are four bolts that attach the fender to the bike, and then two more that attaches the headlight assembly to the fender. I also had a can of Krylon fusion paint that I wanted to try out, so I painted the backside white. That paint goes on really nice and looks great. We'll see how durable it is. The fork guards are still painted with plasti-dip and they're holding up surprisingly well.
