250-500cc Front Sprocket - Stupid Question

Changing Front sprockets around on the WR 300 and TE 630. Both use the same sprockets but on the WR the shoulder goes to the outside while on the TE the shoulder is to the inside. Can someone verify that is correct?? I can't tell from looking at the parts fiche. I put them both on the way they came off but it seems odd they would be different.
