I have a brand new (700 miles) 2011 te 630. When riding home tonight (after dark) first the low beam went out then the highbeam, then about 10 minutes later the headlight flashed real bright and every thing went dark. The bike runs fine but no lights or guages! Any ideas?

Still under warranty? Take it to the dealer.

Plan on taking it in first thing in the morning. Bought it used yesterday from BMP (Bills Motorcycle Plus) in Salem with about 600 miles. I'm sure he will take care of it for me. I was just checking to see if anyone else out there has had this problem before?

I'd check the electrical connection just before headlight. May not be plugged in tightly.

I had a problem with my meter not working one time, but it happened during the day. When I investigated, I found that my low beam and tailight was out too. Strangely, the high beam was still working. So, I replaced the headlight bulb and then everything worked again. Strange wiring.....:excuseme:

I bought my '03 TE610e used with under 2k miles on it. The original petcock had been replaced by a non-OEM model, so it didn't have the low fuel indicator line. Without that plugged in, the low fuel light is off all the time, except when you put it in neutral.

Having never had the bike with the stock petcock, I don't know if that's how it behaves with low fuel in stock form, but it makes sense that the low fuel light should be on ALL the time, not just when in neutral.

    Italian wiring...

Bill will sort you out but sounds like a short, bad rectifier / regulator and probably a fuse.

Bill got it fixed! Looks like the headlight bulb came loose and shorted out the fuse. They put several fuses in but they just kept popping, thats when they discovered the loose bulb!

Great excuse for me to have him put in one of those new HID headlight kits! Cant wait to see the light!
