Just got an REI flyer in the mail, they have the 62S, normally $350, on sale for $199. It's a great price, best I've seen is just over $300. Get 'em while there hot.
I don't know squat about the units and my oldest wants one for Christmas. Day trip kind of thing in northern Pa. My brother runs the 60csx and likes it, so is the model you mention better that the CSX? Or any feedback at all will help. Thanks,
I'm not an expert, but one thing that is often cited as a downside to the 62s is you either run batteries or power via a usb connection. The 60csx had a very robust external power connector. There's tons of info on the web.
That is an outstanding price for what is a great unit. I have many times considered getting a hand held GPS. Currently the highest rated Garmin Oregon 600 is twice as much as the 62s. As far as powering them a few pairs of Eneloop rechargable AA's will keep you going strong. If I'm lucky I will finally grab a 62s if they don't run out.
