Hi folks, I have just bought a used Garmin V for using on the trails in the UK. I was wondering if anybody had any UK map info or know where I can download anything. I have Mapsource European loaded but off course it only shows the main routes... doh. I would like to plan routes on the PC and transfer them to the GPS if possible. Brock
Look at http://openmtbmap.org, they use the openstreetmaps and make them routeable, this is perfect. Regards Stefan
I assume you mean your GPS has only the European basemap. This might be a useful start for you: http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/OSM_Map_On_Garmin/Download Follow the links to external sites. OSM is continually growing and improving and is very good in the UK and EU (Au is still rubbish). It relies 100% on input from users. You may consider creating an account at http://www.openstreetmap.org to upload track logs even if that is all that you do.
