I recently broke the gas cap gasket(dont ask me how it happened) and i need to buy a new one, do any of you know about any other brand that fit Husky TE250 year 11? thanks
Interested in a new cap myself. Have an '08 TE. Anyone know if the drz/klx cap will fit my tank. Also, what year or drz/klx cap to get. Thanks.
If you have the gun site cap, just get the Acerbis large cap, it is around 14.00 The other bikes above are using the Acerbis small cap.
That is what I was looking for. Rocky Mountain has the TUSK aluminum gas caps for $30. If it fits/works like stock then aluminum is the way I would go.
I have a red project321 with carbon inserts for sale if your interested. its off an 07 but i think they are the same.
I did not know about a cap with a gun sight shape, that is actually cool! Mine is round. I have the cap, but the gasket is broken. Do you guys know if the small cap replacement gasket from Acerbis fits my OEM original cap? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Acerbis-205...rcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2ed9ba516f
***411*** I have an '08 (non gun sight cap) and ordered a small billet Acerbis cap and it is the wrong one/to small. I sent it back and ordered the large billet Acerbis cap and it is the correct one. The parts pics actually show the difference in the size. I replaced my cap because I dropped my tank removing it from the bike. It fell upside down and broke the vent nipple off. I successfully super glued the nipple back on but was afraid of it giving away on a ride. The billet cap doesn't snug up to secure the '08 removable ball ramp so I just removed it. No big deal imo. Just Gas Tanks. com/The Enduro Shop. com has them or you can save a couple of $ and find the JGT ebay page like I did.
I got a large Acerbis cap here that's "carbon look" and @ $13: http://www.motosport.com/acerbis-gas-cap Came with a purple vent hose Fits well, haven't tested it for leeks yet. When my stocker leaked I took it apart, cleaned with Armor All, let it set for a couple of hours, reinstall and it hasn't leaked since. I got this one as a spare on a whim
