Got an 09 wr300. Runs seemingly awesome. I am curious though... What kind of gas milaege should i get?. I did a Bend Or ride this weekend. Have the oversized 3.4 gallon ims tank. I ran out of gas as came back to camp at 85 miles. All my friends have ktm 300's with i think 3 gallon tanks. They all had like just under a gallon left. Howsd that possible? Do i need to look at something?

Seems like there was a thread topic on this a while back, and most people agreed that the 300 didn't have the greatest gas mileage in the world, especially with the stock Mikuni carburetor. I'd be happy to get 85 miles on an oversized tank. I think I can squeeze about 50 miles off the stock one.

I would check your float level. There's a chance you could have been losing fuel out of the overflow over bumps.
