Been getting an easy near 50 miles until reserve on my TE300 lately so a safe 55.
Well this past weekends ride had me bumming gas from the super gas mileage go getter Beta300RR in out crew.
I hit reserve at 40 miles and was down to almost zero by 45......I am going to get the IMS tank just for the extra @ 1/2 gal..........I would not have made it back to camp.
Stupidly--I did not carry, which is my common practice in the wilds of the Tecate hills.....

That ride was brutal on gas mileage too. We stopped at 17 miles and my boy was able to pour in almost the whole gallon he was carrying into the Yz250fx. My 500 has an acerbis 3.1 tank on it and it looks like I might have had trouble making it on the stocker. I've Never had that poor of mileage out of these bikes. (I've never been so on and off the gas in my life)

brutal yes in spots for sure. time frame--for our crew@ 0930-1400 (minus @40 min)....we stopped probably for 40 minutes total out on the trail so roughly 4 hours to go 58 miles of all A loop. freakin Andy and Fred rode the entire B loop trail splits- 0930-1200 with a stop to untangle barbed wire from Andys rear wheel, regardless of B loop they were hard on the gassssss

Did some tough trails in Wales yesterday, and when we refuelled at lunchtime, I put in 5 litres at 54 miles. It would have needed another 1/2 litre to totally brim the tank, so working that all out, I would have got around 100 miles to empty. Pretty good really fro a high powered smoker!

Maybe it's the crappy summer blend gas that's partly to blame? They keep pushing that crap on us a little earlier every year.

thinking that the recluse has done a bit in reducing oa gas mileage due to the slippage factor.
