okay yall need to know what gaskets I need to do 165 top end. away at work so not looking at bike & want to order so ready to go when I get home. all I can think of is:

    -head orings
    -base gaskets(varying thicknesses-do they come in 0.3, 0.4, 0.5, 0.8mm like 250/300s?)
    -intake manifold gasket(reed block)
-exhaust manifold gasket(similar to 250/300 where it comes away from cylinder?)
-PV gasket(where the actual valves are not the actuating arm as it doesn't have a gasket)
-ignition/stator cover gasket(not necessary I know but want to check & clean out while im in there)

anything I missed? bit unsure if anything else to do with PV/exhaust manifold?

    thanks people, Shawry

You need the .8 mm base gasket. I doubt you will need to replace either the exhaust manifold o-ring or spacer. If your head O-rings are still round then they are usable but if they have flattened then not a bad idea to replace them. Not much else to it.

is the 0.8mm gasket because of the different cut heads we have Walt? do I bother with squish measurement still or just go with the 0.8mm?

The .8mm gasket helps me offset the slight lowering of the ports when it is over bored. I machine the heads accordingly. FYI

    Hi Shawbagga,
Walt did the kit for me as well and he is probably using the modified head for our shittier fuel. I have still had to use an octane booster (2 additional points making it 100 octane is acceptable) to address slight detonation issues though. I reckon I have the jetting about right now inc a 15 pilot and RM needle.
Because of the very good prices in the US I additionally bought stuff thru Kelly's partner (Mike) in his previous business, including sprockets, spare cables, bearings, pads, WR 150 stickers from Bills, additional fuel petcocks, gaskets, rings for the 150 and pipe and additional pistons and rings for the 165 at the same time, as shipping was only marginally dearer. I maxed out the credit card.

Worth thinking about. I could scan the receipt if interested?

What you getting from Europe. I have not been able to see anything on internet from Europe???? I got the stealth sprockets from mike as well just as cheap ??

Mike was really good. A bit difficult though to combine as Walt, Kelly one shipment. Mike and Bills were another as they are some way apart but the additional local shipping was only $6.00 US. I bought near enough to a grand from Mike for only $60 Us shipping.
