have now got the 630 (almost) exactly as I want it. The last thing to fettle was the Mickey Mouse clutch reservoir (now Magura). Got rid of the pillion pegs etc.The Leo Vince twin exhaust and the pu kit were the most impressive improvement. Can´t think of anything else to be done (maybe the fork protectors would look better in black?). Any ideas?
What size bolts did you used to replace the stock bolts that hold the pegs on? I tried taking mine off a while back until i reaized you would need to replace the bolts with shorter ones. kinda retarded that they don't make it easy to remove the pegs.
I kept the standard pegs and only removed the rubber inserts. Got rid of the passenger pegs but didn´t need any new hardware for that. Was thinking of the lowered pegs advertised in the `Special Parts´ list on the Husky website (have got long legs). But I scraped the standard pegs that were on the bike on a roundabout so think it´d be better not to lower them further.
really? it looked to me that the bolts were far too long if you remove the passenger pegs unless you use a ton of spacers. not sure how it was possible with out replacing with shorter bolts.
Thanx ghte. Last thing done was to change the brake reservoir on the right hand grip for a Magura. Still waiting for a mirror clamp. Willie helped me get rid of the flashing idle light after installing the pu kit. `Tis a great Husky site here and I´d have been very disappointed with the bike without all the info gleaned from Cafehusky.
A pic of the change made to the hand brake reservoir on my 630. I didn´t much like the round plastic reservoir mounted on a metal strip. I wouldn´t have gone to the expense and trouble if I didn´t like the bike so much. I´m back on my old CCM now as there´s snow on the ground and I´m bound to come off. Maybe I´ll think differently when I´ve had the Husky a bit longer.
