Watch for 17 year old Corey MacDonald from Greenville, SC. He'll be in the pro class. He finished 2nd overall at last Sunday's Little Brown Jug enduro only dropping one more point than Glenn Kearney. The Husky team is supposed to be helping/watching him as this is his 'tryout' for the Bigs.
If things go well I'll be there riding the senior class ... or what ever class they put 47 yr old guys in. Look for the slow moving 08 cr 125 in the morning race
Planning on being there in the masters B-C. I hope they get some rain up there or it might be a dusty one.
Yep,,,,,,,,,,in the back. They don't make us put an oversize Panama Jack old man straw hat over our helmets though.......c'mon...we all know that look we saw when we were younger and behind a huge car going slow and all you saw through the rear window as you urged the guy to drive faster than 27 mph was that straw hat and 2 hands on the wheel..........no shoulders.......no body.........the car appeared to be diven by just a hat and 2 mysterious old hands!
anyone camping at the track. I'm trying to figure out if I should camp or stay 2 hours away at a friends lake side camp. Normally it is a 5 hour No highway ride for me. The camp would break up the ride a bit.
Camp for sure, lots of people to meet. We are about 5 hours out as well. My son will ride his 08 Cr125 Husky in Schoolboy 12-16 125 class, I'll ride my 08 Wr 250 Husky in either Masters 50+ B/C or Super Senior B 45+ whatever they tell me at sign in on Saturday. We should be on the entrance road, north of the barn, across from the turn and straight before "Gravity Cavity". Look for 2 Canadian Huskys, a grey Pace Trailer and Tundra PU Truck. Oh yeah if I have time, I'll stop for some Canadian Beer at Duty Free on the way down Saturday morning. See Ya!
Canadian Huskys???? Knobbies have little skates on them??? We will look fo you. Maybe all can meet at a spot around 9 am near there? between gravity cavity and the barn is good or back of the bleachers near there is a good spot too
Too bad for Glen, he was a class act at the Husky Tent on Saturday. He had some time to talk with us and was generous with information on the mods to his race bike. We had a great weekend, weather held for the most part, drive down and back was easy. My son rode Schoolboy 125 (which we've come to find out is a class with lots of talent) out of 50 riders entered he got 4 laps in and finished 18th. He had a good ride, the 125 ran great, rode up every hill without frying the clutch (which saves the BANK OF DAD some $) I had a better than average (for me anyway) start in 50+B/C of about 5th place, picked some good lines on the 1st lap and came around in 2nd. Then I made a mistake on one to the big hills in the woods and had to take a second run. That cost me 2 positions and I finished 4th. I'll take 1 beer please sir! We may make the drive down to Iron Man we had such a good time.
Cory Macdonald gave us A lot to cheer about he rode A great race and was charging hard all the way to the finish.
Yeah the 800 was flyin, I got to cheer for him each time he lapped me Does anyone know the company that was taking pics there?
