• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

03/18/2013
Yesterday the American GNCC racers headed to Washington, GA for the second round of the Championship, which took place only 5 days after the first race of the season.

F.A.R Husqvarna's Andrew DeLong got bad start and was behind the field after the first corner. The TXC250R rider was faced to a lot of work as he battled through the field until he reached the top of the scratch. But after he arrived there the fight was not over. During the whole race Andrew fought an impressive battle with only 15-year-old Grant Baylor, who once more underlinded the high level of the competitors in the XC2 Pro Lites class. At the end the cross country experience of Andrew DeLong paid off and he was able to secure his second victory in the second race of the season.

Beside Andrew DeLong 5 other Husqvarna riders secured podiums in their classes. Vance Earl secured the victory in the Masters A (50+) class, Brian Trucksis won the Open B class and Matt Bostian secured the 4th victory for Husqvarna of the day in the Vet B (30+) class. Additionally William Lackey finished 2nd in the Super Vet C (35+) class and Dylan Bean made with his third place in the 4 Stroke A Lites class the success for Husqvarna complete.

Excellant job! Why is it that Delong doesnt get good starts normally? Is the Husky not firing as fast as some of the other bikes? It seems like the 2-strokes are up there at the start, He could make it alot easier on himself if he could be at the front early..
