    Why cant I find ANYWHERE the simple capacity/weight information for my 82 430WR 40mm forks? :excuseme:

    I'm rebuilding them and would LOVE to put them together tonight but I cant find any model specific "factory" charts.

    Some guy said to use 20-50 motor oil between 15 & 16 oz. REALLY?
    Another said 430cc (14.5oz?). :banghead::banghead:

    Also.... where can I find a model specific workshop manual, official Husqvarna or otherwise that will contain all this information? This bike is old..but not THAT old.

    I'm going nuts..... time for a beer and some pizza! :cheers:

    You da bes' brah! :notworthy:

    OK, since I have your attention... I also have the forks from a 82 CR430...are they different? (damper rod hole sizes etc?).

    Why are there no "top out" springs? The "Clunk" when I lift the front end is disturbing. :thumbsdown:

    Do you actually run air in the forks or is there a better way? I have a motion pro fork gauge/pump.

    And where do I find a manual that has all this cool info in it?

    Skid,

    I dont remember if the cr had different dampner rods with differnt holes or not. but most likely they do.

    Your top out clunk is most likely the plastic washers on the dampener rods. They get worn or mis-shapen and then the forks top out with a clunk. Put new ones in and the clunk goes away.

    Years ago HP had some aluminum ones made with a o-ring, that we used to use instead. Dont know if any of them are still around.

    They are different as they have more travel then the WR forks by 30mm and hold 20cc more fork oil. I run mine at 2-3 psi but most people just use the valve to bleed the air out and run them at zero psi.

    Anyone have the apparently elusive 82 WR430 owners manual or service manual they want to sell me? or know where to get them?
