Press release and photo... I notice an unusual skid plate on Cory's 310. Anyone know what it is... and Congratulations on the podium finish Cory [IMG]
Corona, CA - June 10, 2013 - Factory Husqvarna's Cory Graffunder hit the road for round two of the GEICO AMA EnduroCross series with one thing on his mind - podium. After starting the season with a modest seventh-place finish at the opening round, Graffunder was determined to improve his results, and he was able to do just that with a third-place finish, on the podium, at the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, California.

The battle for third in the main event turned out to be an intense one. Graffunder had his hands full getting around his former teammate, Kyle Redmond, who held third for much of the main. Cory then had the challenge of fending off a hard charging Taddy Blazusiak for the final podium position. Graffunder proved to be unstoppable on his factory Husqvarna TXC310R, and would not be pressured into making any mistakes.

"I felt great all night and I'm thrilled to get on the podium," Graffunder said. "I knew I had the speed to be up here with these guys, and it finally all came together. My Husqvarna TXC310R is running great and I'm really pumped to get it on the podium."

Cory now looks forward to another international X Games EnduroX event - this time in Munich, Germany - where he hopes to capture another X Games medal.

National EnduroHusqvarna riders were also in action at the Loose Moose National Enduro in Marquette, Michigan, where Craig DeLong and JD Friebel topped the podium in the A 250 and A Open classes, respectively. DeLong's win was made sweeter by cracking into the top-ten by the day's end.

Is Hyde known to be any good or is the TM one better? I've heard of Hyde but haven't read much.

We have a ton of those skid plates too, not sure what years they fit. They are really thick too.

I have a Hyde and it fits well, although I did replace all of the bolts with better hardware. The two bolts for the back were too short and made it irritating to mount. Had one on the old KTM too and it lasted the whole time I owned it and then I resold it to someone else. Quite durable.

Hydes are great, and the feel always seemed better than my alloy plate, maybe just because it was quieter. But remember if you really are a rock scraper you will need to replace them at somewhat regular intervals. I also drilled mine for air flow and water dispersion.

So this thread is oldish but I am looking to pick up a Hyde skid plate for my 2012 TE310. What model plate is this one in the picture? Hydes website is screwy and lists the TE310 under a couple models so picking the right one is tricky. Does anyone else sell these? Zipty?

Thanks. I called Hyde today and they said it's the 102. Comes in red or black.
