awesome. Those Brittens are my favorite bike ever. Did not know they made a single. Such a sad story and to quick of an end.

yeah the single was pretty late in the game . not sure if it ever did much . interesting ( besides the 3 throttles) is the spark plug each side near the exhaust port . and no head gasket . barrel and head one piece

i imagine its nearly impossible to attach 2 barrels to a shared crank if they were not part of the crank case . allthough the engines were " gasketless" the heads were seperate

That's two larger intake valves with four exhausts. Chee is all about the flow in life.
That head has a lot of chee I like it.

With the advancement in machining today the designs from the engineers are limitless.
You think it these machines can manufacture it.

For sure. And stunning how quick they can take what was 10 years ago super complex shapes and whip them out like nothing and already know structurally how they perform. Crazy. I was in a bike shop the other day and Yamaha has taken casting to a new level. Even "budget bikes" like the FZ-09 has all these super complex and organic looking parts from the frame to the brackets. I read about them advancing modern casting techniques and wow does it show. 150 hp 300 pound bikes are normal these days. What was high tech 3 years ago is last weeks news now. It really is amazing.
