Hey all, Decided to have a nice Halloween trail ride at my place. We had lotso rain here in the north east to include about 4 inches alone on wed night o Thursday. Combined with the leaves, it ensured there would be plenty of “Tricks” and some not so good “Treats.” Quite a few Huskys, but also in honor of the great pumpkin, I “allowed” some KTM guys to attend. KTM guys had not yet shown Norm lookin' focused on his 09 125 and on the 07 144.......Mr.versatility.....way to go Norm! Leaves were wet and a bit Squirrely when they had rocks under them Say "CHEEESE"! Norm (taking my 07 144 for a last rip) Weight back was a daily requirement as was "steer with the rear" Greg manhandling the TE 610 ....big roosts Bulldogging a 610 through a tight left Was one of those "looking just in front" rather than "way in front" days for me Fury showed up to possibly buy the 144.....looks like a muddy drive back to Boston either way....He was ripping on it Another Senior rider looking to pick up a Husky 125 as a playbike Happy day for Fury but sad day for me (note my fake smile) but she's going to a good home! Greg taking my 310 for a test rip.....now he's looking at a 310 in 2010 for his stable...forget the "slap chop"....these things sell themselves! The "Guest of Honor".....teeth not retouched....(much) Sorry-could not resist "Those Guys" had me surrounded and thought they had me My last act of defiance KTM's cutting the course constantly to keep up After denying it.....was busted by the loyal Husky banner tape stuck to front tire! All kidding aside....everyone went good all day and no injuries Buddys wife brought her DR200 and the tires had as much traction as a stale glazed donut!.....but she soldiered on And was recognized for her talent and determination All in all a good Halloween trail ride Joe
Does the bike run on Jagermeister in a pinch? You start to see that life wouldn't be much fun without the pumpkins to mess with.
gawd it was so freaking dusty yesterday even when leading!!...... have serious eye/nose/throat boogers!!! the berms were like flour..........some rain please.... nice post with fotos thanks
great time with everyone joe, thanks again for the bike, would have liked to stay longer, but the three hour ride and still had to load for the sunday enduro thingy was really worrying me
Yeah so worried that you destroyed the rest of the A Senior class and took a 1st with 2nd place 14 minutes behind you! "AA" next year baby.....running the Husky with the big boys.
all im saying is that my results were not as good as they are after one season of riding the husky! I have wrapped up the "A" senior class and will end up 9th O/A! just need to decide which size husky for "AA" next year.....
Joe, That was awesome. And I didn't even mind the pictures of all the pumpkins. See'n it was Halloween and all.
Transalp did not go out.....his tires made Karoos (2010 TE tires) look like hillclimbing paddles with chains!....besides he was in area for his moms B-day bash First the no goggles now the ciggys.......I knew there was a reason I never went trail riding with my mom NP on the logo.......was on the 08 NE Gathering shirt too.........got to take care of famly. Have actually had folks see logo and inquire who/what and gave glorious shameless plugs. Mechanic pit shirts in works now...red and blck and embroiderered chest logos and name (rider) with "Husqvarna" across shoulders. Very nice ..should be picking up this week. small batch (6) for locals so far.
Excellent post and photos, Joe! Thanks And congrats on your race results, Fury Wouldn't it be fun to beat up on the AA class on a tiddler? WoodsChick
