Handlebars crooked

During a track day at the end of last year, I had what I thought was an easy get off. Since then, my handlebars are crooked. I thought maybe the handlebars were bent. It seems that something else is at work here. The handlebars and top mount seem to be parallel, fitting together as they should. However, the mount and bars aren't parallel to a line between the top of the forks. On one side the adjuster is nearly covered by the bars while, on the other side, the bars look to be at least 1/4 inch back from the top of the fork adjuster. Did I damage the mount instead of the bars? Any suggestions on how I fix this would be most appreciated. Thanks!

It happens to me. I loosen the two nuts on the bottom of the top tripple holding the bar mounts. Then remove the handle bars. Then I straighten everything up. Tighten the handlbars first and then the nuts under the tripple. I ordered the nylon bushings from BRP, and I'm going to try that instead of the stock rubber. If that does not work I will replace the top tripple clamp with an aftermarket one.

May have bent the bolts that hold the barmounts to the triple clamps-
also common for the fork tubes to twist in triple clamps- put on stand and unbolt pinch bolts and retorque to allow it to untwist.

As mentioned by the two previous posts, loosen the pinch bolts on the upper and lower triple so the fork tubes aren't twisted and the rubber bar seat bushings.That gets it 90% of the time. If you hit your handlebars just so, you can also bend the bar clamp and make that go out of square. That was my case (I've a GPR stabilizer). I paid 80 bucks for a fresh one. You could also...quit crashing...sorry...had to have a LOL.

Had something similar happen on the 510 after I first started riding it waaaay back in 08' . One of the seasoned riders in the group walked over, grabbed the bar end and whacked it against the stop in the opposite direction of the twisted mount. Fixed! For me it was the rubber bushings that had slipped a bit. He told me this was a trick he had to learn doing enduros.

Thanks for your help, Guys. I tried all of the aforementioned suggestions. Didn't seem to be any twist in the forks but might have been un-noticeable to the human eye. I also loosened and retightened the two bolts holding the handlebar mounts to the top triple tree and retightened after installing the handlebars. It is better, for sure, but still very slightly off. Can't say what it was exactly that lessened the crookedness but it did improve. I think I can live with the better albeit imperfect new position. Thanks again.
