    I love this little bike and it has been a bit of a workout to get it dialed up right but the last go round has the bike really ripping. the bike as always run good since the factory PV upgrade. Been playing with it to get more all the time, it's part of the fun for me and sooooo EZ to work on. Friday afternoon i tossed a new piston in it (at almost 1200 miles), rejetted the PWK aristriker carb from Moab use, and tightened up / slightly preloaded the PV actuating arm. WOW. This is by far the best it has run. The JD PWK with my settings runs fantastic. better starting (always EZ but now first kick 98% of the time), better idle and low speed running. Rips from top to bottom and has more top than I ever remember. I spent this Saturday showing fast guys on new KTM300's the ass end of it. I also had a new Motoz Terrapactor rear and Tracula front and OMG I was hooking like mad while those guys were skating. Bike hooking up great, motor pulling hard, damper smoothing it all out and that suspension working amazingly well it was just one of those days where you can do no wrong. I did a morning rip before anyone else got there (12 miles) and was averaging 16.1 MPH in an area we usually do about 14 mph average in. when the gaggle of KTM300 showed up we averaged about 14.5. I am VERY please with the performance of my little chain saw.

    125's are not for everyone but I sure am loving this one.

    i bet my 06 WR144 is running better.

    thanks in part to my pirelli tires (MXextra rear and mid-soft front), hooking up all over the place! my scotts steering stabilizer smoothing out any of the excess rough stuff my A.C.E. lets it handle.

    the dynoport pipe and fmf turbine core 2 silencer keep the power delivey strong, snappy and quiet! not to mention the incredable throttle responce thanks to my V-force reed set up!

    nice. :thumbsup: These are great little bikes huh. My stock 04 CR125 made me want the 09 in the new frame / new forks when it came out. People thought i was crazy selling a real nice TXC450 and going to a WR125. It has been worth it. I hear ACE does great work. How do you like the Dynoport over the stock pipe? I feel the Doma works very well but need to try the stock one again to see.

    How far did you adjust the linkage? I spent yesterday working on my jetting and got it running as well as it is going to with the Mikuni. I was amazed how far I had to lean it out across the board. The work that George Erl did really has it running great now, much better than in Moab when it was too rich and certainly better than when I first installed the 144. It is sealing up much better and the compression is far better than at anytime before.

    When will you be offering the JD equiped Airstriker for the 125? With Husky backordering the 144 kits, I will probably pop for the PWK. Is JD going to use the PWK 38 ag body? That is the airstriker that Ktm had produced for its 125/200 in 2006 I believe that has the same dimensions as the new Mikuni TMXX. Keep us informed and thanks for all your work.

    Good news. I'd love to try your 144 running right. It was way rich at Moab. We have the PWK's in stock, will get them on the web soon. 178 main, 45 pilot and the blue JD needle middle position works well on my bike. Very well. 1600-3800 feet elevation. i was just about to Email you about the 144 kits. Someone at husky was not truthful when we ordered and asked an ETA so we are hoping soon. Seems real hard to get any of those elusive hard parts.

    Kelly's 125 was running very good in Moab and that was before the final jetting he has done. I personally hate Mikuni TMX's and while the new one is better it still has all the adjustability of a 1970 vintage Amal. I will definitely be investing in the PWK at some point depending on OEM 144 kit availability.

    I keep wondering if Husky is taking all the 144 kit production to fill their bins for 2011 144 production. ;)

    We have them now. Nothing special but did test and see what works as mentioned above. I think it is a very good upgrade, worth it to me and lots more flexibility in tuning and less temperamental. Sure seems to run cleaner especially on the bottom. Dudes on the 300's were really impressed with the lugging ability. "wow, that thing actually has bottom, we hear you chugging up the hill" :thumbsup:

    And, what spring combination are you running (you have Walt's kit in, right?)

    I just got my kit in the mail and will be playing with it this weekend. I am going to have to spend the entire day on break-in, then testing combos of springs. I currently have the linkage adjusted all the way down, but am think of backing it off with the spring kit...to 1/4-1/2.

    Oh...and if you do not mind (maybe PM is preferred???) what is the price of the PWK?

    Kelly's bike won't run with the power valves opening early. :excuseme: Try the yellow with the green inner spring initially. It is a good mid-way point to start. I would also initially start with the linkage adjusted in the middle.

    I preloaded the bottom adjustable part so there was just a sliver showing at the top, above the bolt. No slack on the arm but not displacing the upper spring ether. Should have took a pic. Not running the PV springs, did not work on my bike.

    prejetted carb by PWK/JD $234. We have them in stock. Email me if you want one.

    Thanks! That is weird how your bike started to bog when you changed the PV springs, but runs great with the stock spring. :excuseme: I wonder if the bike just reacts extremely to the wrong A/F mixture, once you find the right combo you are good...but when it is wrong it is wrong.

    I will try out the yellow and the green springs with the linkage at 1/2.

    Also, I was impressed with the packaging of the kit. Nice, big colored pictures and easy to read instructions.

    Kleeman in Colorado Springs has generously offered to do some dyno testing of the spring kits in Bradass's WR250 and Spruille's 09 WR144. I don't know any of the history on Spruille's 144 as he just bought it, so we will soon find out if it was a runner like Kelly's or a bog queen like mine. At the very least we will get some very accurate info on opening rpms and their effect as compared to the stock spring. We will also get some nice numbers on peak hp and torque figures because they all run well at some point.

    Terrapactors are the Motoz designed for MX. Lighter weight, open design for loam, hook up like crazy. Might not last as long as some of the others but the traction is awesome accelerating or cornering.

    Pretty much everything is out of stock right now until the next container arrives state side.
