I'm sorry if this is a repost but I could not find what I'm looking for. I have a stock headlight on my '08 610. I took out the bulb and I'm not sure what number the bulb is. I think its called a E1 but not sure. I know its a 35w bulb.
Anyone know what upgraded bulb will work. I want to keep the stock light but maybe a 65/55w bulb.
    Thanks.

The enclosure is not going to like any higher wattage bulb. The wiring will be okay but the heat will likely cause some plastic bubbling. Other 610 owners who have attempted it have had such results.

There are many opinions and options for this question. One thing is for sure, the stock 35w is lame.

Expand your mind on the options out there. With a 300W alternator the 610 will power almost any light imaginable.

    Here's mine:

You can safely go to a 45 watt bulb with the stock lens without ruining it. That's about it though.

Stock headlight pretty much worthless at night. Have a TrailTech waiting at home to install.

I replaced the stock candle holder with a Baja Designs Halogen and never looked back. George @ Uptite has a trick LED setup that has received great reviews and simply replaces the stock bulb reflector and enclosure.

Just did a weekend ride with the TrailTech X2 setup. Far superior to stock. You can actually adjust the beam and it is actually useful in the dark! High beam lights up the road well too.

that's a big current draw for the light gauge wiring provided. I'd probably go 80-85w max

Interesting. What is the part number of this bulb, and where can it be bought? Will it fit a 2006 TE510? You're sure it won't melt the stock headlight lens and housing?

I have been running this very lightbulb in my 07 TE450 for about three years now. I bought both 35 and 45 watt bulbs form this place: http://www.bulbs.com/espec.aspx?ID=10607&RefId=564 Just remember that when you are riding in the pitch black night and you hit the brakes, the brake light will really draint he the headlight wattage and the headlight will get so dim that you can ahrdly see anything. When I run through this bunch, I think I'll try one of those Halogen one from Sicass Racing.
