What are you guys doing for fork springs in the 35 mm forks when you need a .52 or higher spring rate?

can you cut some coils off and then preload it . thus increasing rate ?

check the limit for coil bind . if you take 10% of length the rate will increase 10%

That's exactly what I did with my Mag. Was wondering if anybody knows of any suppliers that would provide a full length spring .52 or heavier....without having to use a cut spring with PVC spacers.

How heavy? I'm going with 40's and I'm 220 with gear. If you really want the precise spring, call Bill at Ccycle in CT (google him). He has access to custom wound springs at basically the same price as you would pay off the shelf. And he knows the vintage stuff.
