    Hi all,
New member to the forum, and a new member to motardation as well. Just trying to get my first tard sorted out and ready (it's been a loooong time dream). I hope you all don't mind that my first "hello" on here is a question - but after hours of fruitless Internet searching for an annoying little part, I hope you'll understand.

I'm trying to source the little toe clip on the rear brake (at the tip of the brake arm under your right foot). This is for an SMR 511. Not the whole brake arm thing, just that little triangular clip that your toe pushes down. Husqvarna wants to sell me an entire assembly with a whole bunch of bits I dont need for $180. Nathan and (William or Matthew) were both helpful when I called Trooper Lu's, but they were limited by what Husky had on offer.

Wondering if anyone on here has any thoughts, or has come across this before. Couple pics below.

    Two things worth noting:
    1) I'm in Sydney Australia (hoping to find locally as shipping prices are stoooopid)
    2) I've found the "Zip Ty Racing" toe clip for $39, but they want another $50-$100 to send it to Australia http://www.ziptyracing.com/brake-pedal-tip/

    Anyway, thanks for reading.

    Cheers

My bikes are the older Italian Huskys. Your pedal design looks slightly different but the end where the tip attaches looks exacty the same as mine. I have found KTM Part# 80013051000 to be a good replacement. Attached with a small bolt/nylock nut as others have suggested.
About 13 bucks if I remember.

    Good luck!

on my 450s 06 and 08 I sheared like 4 of those tips off until I had my mech put extra welds on the inside of the little triangle tips. Finally I put a zip ty tip on my 08 TXC450 and its still on there. You need a little mech skill and drilling the rivet to get a good tip install. Check with ZipTy racing, and yes you can also get a kato tip and install one of those as well.

Eaglefreek, Purple Haze, Roberticcio, Troy, Bill, Woods, BugsInTeeth.. Folks, seriously thanks for the really helpful input and suggestions. I was expecting maybe the name of a supplier of something. But specific part numbers, links to eBay listings, pictures and how to's, etc. Really good shit. Thanks

Ended up calling a moto sports suggested. Spoke to a nice guy there. Shipping it for 20 bucks.

    BOOM. Thanks

And thanks for the welcome. My first tard after years of fantasizing, imagining, and researching. Just picked it up, am getting it all titsed-out (excuse the expression). Will post up a proper intro to the group very shortly.

I've been scoring and perving through the SMR511 mod thread. I've got the Akra with race map 2 installed. Any other power up and cosmetic suggestions welcome.
Actually. Any thoughts on the best mirrors for compact but effective city use?

MM - I am fairly new here as well and imported mine from Oz as the importer never bought any in to NZ. The experts on here will tell you that you need Map 3 and a PC5. I agree with them as on Map2 + race can they run rough, stalling etc - still trying to find someone that can load the updated Map. Bar end mirrors are on my list as well but cannot find any to fit the small diameter taper bar end. These bikes need a slipper clutch. Final thing on the shopping list is some axle sliders. So I have some expensive upgrading to come. Can any members recommend sources for the above ?

you have to drill out your bar ends for the mounts like we do for handguards. The stock bars are smaller ID than anything else and you will not find a mount for them. Drill the ends out. EZ and done.

I took the bar end out and measured the ID last week - from memory it was about 9.5mm - so will have to drill it like you say and have a 12mm drill bit so no sweat - anyone tried the Oberon 60mm Streetfighter mirrors ?

yea I found some bar end mirrors by CRG. Looks like they sell them on RevZilla. http://www.revzilla.com/parts/2012-husqvarna-smr-511

My hesitation with bar end mirrors are:
    1) Narrow is better through traffic (I live in Sydney)
    2) I like the bike with the hand guards on it

Anyway, if you do get the bar end ones, I'd recommend the ones that fold in so you can flip 'em in and squeeze through traffic.

Finally, anyone recommend a good set of axle sliders that I can get in AUS?
