Hello, my name is greg and am new to the forums. I have been ground-up restoring a 1974 250 mag that was given to me for some pocket change just to get it out of some farmers barn (pretty good deal :) ). he best part is that everything was there (complete) aside from a few small parts. Just lots of refininshing work. Fortunately, I used to live, and my dad does live in Yorktown Indiana, and dad is good friends with Mr. Forest Stahl. He knows these bikes like the back of his hand, and has been a very helpful resource thus far.. He just completely rebuilt the motor, and I must say, It looks AWESOME, and I'm sure it will run as good as it looks. The one problem I have run into is the exhaust. The pipe that was on the bike is beautiful, not a dent and completely rust free. The problem.....the heat shield has been ripped off the pipe. I consider myself darn good o a computer, and have not yet been able to find a single place or reference on the internet as to how to obtain one of these. Does anyone know if someone makes replacements, or has anyone on this forum ever fabricated one? Has anyone else ever run into this problem? I have a feeling that this is going to end up being a home fabricated detail. Any help would be appreciated!

    thanks

    Greg
