125-200cc Help a CR125 Newbie: Switching the Flywheel

Hello All! I recently purchased an '04 CR125 in pretty good condition from a guy who gave me a flywheel, stator, and regulator from (I'm Assuming) a WR model. I was anxious to swap them out because this is my first 2 stroke and I'm interested in gaining more low end torque for woods riding with my kids. I think I got it in correctly. Installed the flywheel and stator but will have to adjust the timing once I get the bike all back together. Removed the electrical box and put the regulator in its place.(It is grounded to the frame.) Hooked up the wiring: blue wire to the coil and also branches to the kill switch. Yellow to the regulator. Black to the ground on the coil. I haven't tried to start it yet but I think it's right. I've been reading a lot of threads on CH and am learning a lot but I haven't found much info on this swap. What I have been reading has been raising concerns that I may be missing other changes that need to be made. For example, is there different jetting that should be done to accommodate this larger flywheel? Carb adjustments? Different pipe? Different sprockets? Should I have just left it alone since it ran fine!

Just run it... You would check the jetting anyway. Give it a go, maybe you will want to change the gearing. More so, if you are doing woods, you might want to look at the suspension but, youwill likely be fine for riding with your kids. Don't over think it, go have fun.

The flywheel change the responsiveness of the motor by the weight difference
the air/fuel mixture would not be changing due to this mod so i see no reason in change the jetting for it

If you like the WR flywheel, I would be interested in buying the CR one off you complete with electrical box. I have a WR that I use for Motocross and would like the lighter flywheel.

Thanks for the advice guys. I recently talked to a Husky mechanic who recommended that I also lower my front sprocket by one tooth since I need one anyway. I'll being holding on to the CR parts until I get a chance to really run the bike. I may want to switch them back at some point. The threads I've been reading on CH got me excited to ride.
