Hi, I'm new here. I bought my first husky a few weeks ago and after a week of it running great it stopped running while I was riding and now I can't get a spark from it. It is a 2011 WR250. The gas was either shut off or was on reserve when it quit (not sure why I didn't have it on) and it stopped like it ran out of gas or the kill switch was hit. I've tried new plugs and a new CDI with no success. Any help would be great, thanks. -Matt

Check your ground wires, see if any are brittle. My WR144 died- culprit was poor connections undoubtably resulting in heat that cooked wires and the plug connection to the rectifier. Start at the beginning of the circuit, you should see a voltage from the stator output that feeds the coil AKA step up transformer. Firstly, remove the kill switch out of the circuit, just be ready with a plastic handled tool to remove the plug cap once the bike starts and you can't turn it off. Ask me how I know... :0)

When checking for spark, do it in a dark garage. The spark was hard to see on mine.

Talking of plug cap they should be non supressed as most plugs have an r rating thats resisted so your cap shouldnt be.
That means no resistors so max voltage reaches sparky.
Ive had my 360 get me 14miles to work only to not start when going home, the ht lead wasnt screwed into the coil or it had backed out or whatever anyway cut it 5mm shorter re-threaded it an she fired right up.

    Check ground
    Ht
    Plug cap.
Pull cover to stator if its full of water then thats the issue. Rare but on a long didtance trial mine got so drenched it stalled on the open road, kicked it over 7-8 times it ran but gave a half kick backwards.
Let clutch out an bike was in reverse!?!? Pulled cover drained water kicked straight uoin forwards.

People dont plug the lower drain hole i used silicone doh!

All the connections look good and none of the wires or connectors look to be damaged. I checked the killswitch and it seems to be good. I did unhook the connector for the kilswitch and lights. I checked the plug cap and I got a reading of 5.17kohms, it says it is rated at 5kohms on the cap. I checked the voltages coming out of the stator and got 3.8-4.6 VAC from the red wire, .5-.7VAV from the green wire, nothing from the black wire and the meter acted like it was overloaded from the white wire. I checked the voltage at the plug cap with the coil plugged in and got nothing. I tried this with both the coils I have with the same result. No water where the stator is.

Thanks for all the help and suggestions. I finally fixed the electrical problem. The brown wire coming off the stator had a bad connection at the regulator. So now to fix the gas not flowing to the carb. :)
