Hi guys, as you know I've been doing battle with my old girl. I need some electrical parts I've sourced but the shipping is too much, seller not flexible in his methods. I'm hoping to find a kind soul who I could ship these parts to that will then forward to me using a cheaper form of post. I will pay all expenses and you will have a friend for life. I just can't spend $30 on parts that weigh nothing to be asked to pay $70 in postage. I don't have it.

    Please any kind soul.

Good luck dude, the method used is bouncing.
Just be careful the fella you use doesnt want your stator bits more than you ;)

P.s. The listing is pvl so you may be creating issues mixing with stock set up.

Understand. Parts are comparable. Motorcycle community is a brotherhood like no other and hope in these times that sharing what we can keeps old bikes running and very broke people like me able to keep riding them. May have to pay what the man is asking because bits are used cheap bits are hard to find. This bike will run! If I can afford it.
It tests me every day, like the guy who started it spent a fortune on the motor and nothing on anything else. Cheers.

Have him ship it to our shop. We can forward it to you in OZ. Ship there all the time. Shouldn't be more than 15-20 bucks I bet.

Thanks for the offer I will be in touch, I scoured the net and it seems the people I've asked have said that it will do the job. Please understand Its like this bike is the only one on this continent. Parts are not listed anywhere I go or call.
Not intending to offend anyone. Some of the newer stuff will work with the motoplat stator.

Had an auto elec here testing my current stuff and has told me what I need and what can go in the bin..I just have so many parts that came with this thing it's a constant battle of testing and trying. What won't work for me, but is still good I will be sending to whoever needs it..last owner had parts..not all for this thing.
I will check halls again but there postage is insane oz and I have a very limited income right now. Thanks for all the help everyone..I know I'm so close to getting this thing finished and am so pumped.

Sorry for any confusion, this bike is my nemesis and I will beat it. I have lots of parts and have a stator to suit the pvl bits.

I'm not thinking of buying a complete new ignition and not messing with this second hand used crap but I need to find some money, sell an organ. I just want thus thing to run.

If tracked a few options one from a place called horse power ignition in Europe, very helpful and might be viable. Other option in my budget won't include lighting coil so no lights..but it will run.
Just can't seem to find anyone on this side of the earth that repairs motoplat stuff. I will consider any ideas anyone has or worked for them. I'm still trying to ID the bike from the numbers I have which are frame# DOM 52826 OM and motor # 89 00280 so any help there would be great as I don't know the right kit to order. Also if anyone has updated their ignition and has any motoplat stuff laying around..let me know. From what I think I know it's a 250cc 1990 or 91 but a couple mates have said top end is too big for 250 which has thrown me further. It could be lots of bits making one bike..no history just numbers that lead to nothing.

I'm very grateful to everyone who helps me with this bike, I thought I had a basic understanding until I entered the world of Swedish bike made in Italy with Spanish electrics.

Have you tried Small Core Rewinds in Geelong?
In terms of ID'ing, try giving Stefan at R&D Husky and he may know or put you on to Vinduro clubs that may know. Maybe go to this site and email them http://www.huskyclub.com/

    Good luck!!!

Ok, to keep those interested in the know I found the required kit for Europe. New ignition inc stator coil etc delivered to my door from Belgium for around $250 . The rec /reg alone genuine was $91 usd plus post. Im saving and need to make some measurements first. Gives me lighting as well. Also found a few tags for the bike..nothing readable so I striped them and found a vin. Still leads to nothing but have a full vin at least.

Willy at horse power ignition in Belgium, your the man.
Be good all. More to come plus some stuff from eBay still needed..rear brake pads are beyond

Bit the bullet this morning and got the pvl parts, plus stator and flywheel to suit. The horror stories from aftermarket bits made me do it. If the combine shipping and I can send it here the right way I'm still ahead.until mrs finds out I spent money that is. I be hiding in a hole till smoke settles round here. If you don't hear from me again..was nice knowing everyone. If this ignition is crap I'm done for but said was tested and bike had spark so all sounds good. Pray for me.

I say make sure it's running good before you tell the boss. Never put yourself in danger without an escape plan! Tell her that you lots of parts to sell to cover the costs?

I broke in the end and told her I had got the bits to get the thing running, to my surprise I got no negative reaction. New relationship after a prick divorce seems to have realised maybe this ones a keeper for sure. Nothing to do but wait now. Parts shipped..and one day they will show here. Until then..sell more stuff to cover this cost. This bike better haul or I'm gonna be pissed. Been hardest mini resto I ever done.

Divorce was due to an ex wife who loved to gamble and preferred riding other guys than bikes. She returned home to USA 4 years ago to be with her internet love after cleaning me out and taking a few banks down as well. Lost my Harley and wr to that troll. New mrs is an angel. But I ride much older and cheaper toys now. Prefer classics anyway. Just hate the fact I always seem to find the troubled bikes where parts don't exist and what does costs a small fortune. Trying to keep this project to under $800 all up. Close to that now. I don't think I will sell this one if it's reliable and fun.
