high beam coming on when selecting gear

    Strange one this.
    Just finished servicing my 1999 610 and fired her up to do check coolant system etc.
    When I select first gear and release the clutch the high comes on???? Is this just a loose connection in the hand control unit or something more complicated?

    Is your clutch lever hitting the high beam flasher on the front of the controls? Seen this happen more than once.
